பாட்டியின் கதை இரவு – தூங்கும் முன் கதை
ஒரு இரவு பலத்த மழை பெய்தது. திடீரென்று மின்சாரம் போனது. ஆதவனும் அவன் தங்கை சியாவும் பயந்துவிட்டனர். அப்போது பாட்டி ஒரு குத்துவிளக்கை ஏற்றிக்கொண்டு வந்தார்.
“வாங்க கண்ணுகளா, என் சின்ன வயசுக் கதை சொல்றேன்,” என்றார் பாட்டி. “நான் உங்க வயசுல இருந்தப்போ, எங்க கிராமத்துல மின்சாரமே கிடையாது.”
இரவில் நட்சத்திரங்களை எண்ணியது, மின்மினிப் பூச்சிகளைப் பார்த்து ரசித்தது, அம்மாவின் தாலாட்டைக் கேட்டது என்று பாட்டி சொன்னார். “இருட்டு பயமுறுத்துவதில்லை, அது ஓய்வெடுக்கும் நேரம்.”
விளக்கின் மெல்லிய ஒளியில் பாட்டி ஒரு இனிய தாலாட்டுப் பாடினார். மழையின் சத்தமும் பாட்டியின் பாட்டும் கேட்டுக்கொண்டே ஆதவனும் சியாவும் ஆழ்ந்து தூங்கினர்.

குடும்பத்தோடு செலவிடும் நேரம் பயத்தையும் அன்பாக மாற்றும்.
English Summary
During a stormy night the power goes out and Aadhavan and his little sister Siya get scared. Grandma lights a traditional brass lamp and tells them about her childhood village without electricity — counting stars and watching fireflies. Her lullaby sends them to sleep.
